(VOVworld) - Russia is ready to work on improving bilateral relations with the US now that Donald Trump has won the US presidential election, said spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova on Thursday.

Zakharova said it is premature to specify any steps as Trump has yet to form his new administration.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said earlier that Russia is ready to fully restore relations with the US. He added Russia is aware that it is not going to be easy given the degraded state of relations between the two countries but that Moscow will work with Washington to maintain global security and stability.
