(VOVworld) – On Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with visiting US Secretary of State John Kerry at the Kremlin in Moscow to discuss Syrian and Ukrainian issues.

The two leaders said that they hoped to promote Russia-US dialogue in several areas including Syria. Mr. Putin said in his recent meeting with US President Barack Obama that the two sides had agreed on diplomatic efforts between Russia and the US to resolve conflicts in the world that will prove effective. Mr. Kerry said the US President and he thought that the US and Russia are in a time to create differences and can do many things to benefit the world, including helping reduce the conflict in Syria, resolve the Ukrainian crisis and cooperate on a number of other issues.
