Saudi Arabia bus tanker crash, 45 Indian pilgrims dead

(VOVWORLD) - 45 Indian people died after a bus carrying Umrah pilgrims collided with a diesel tanker near Saudi Arabian city of Madinah, sparking a major fire. Only one person survived. 

The group had travelled from Hyderabad to Jeddah on November 9, with plans to return on November 23.  

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his deepest condolences to the families of the victims, adding that the Indian Embassy in Riyadh and the Consulate General in Jeddah are providing all possible assistance.
