Seoul calls for adherence to inter-Korean agreements

(VOVWORLD) - South Korea's president’s office said Sunday that inter-Korean agreements to prevent armed clashes must be respected.

At an emergency meeting of the National Security Council, officials analyzed the recent speech delivered by North Korean leader Kim Jong Un at the 75th anniversary of the foundation of the ruling Workers' Party.

The South Korean officials emphasized that agreements made to prevent armed conflict should be abided by and protected at any cost.

They are considering the strategic significance of a new strategic weapon system Pyongyang has unveiled.
