On Friday, a shooting in Belgrade left eight people dead, 13 injured, and some of them were in critical condition.

Earlier, a 13-year-old suspect carried out an attack that officials say he had planned for months, killing eight of his schoolmates and a security guard in Belgrade.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Friday said the shootings were an act of terrorism as he proposed new tough gun controls, reducing the age of criminal responsibility from 14 to 12 and tightening security at schools.

Vucic proposed a gun ban regardless of weapon type, ordering a nationwide arms seizure, and increasing frequent medical and psychological checks of gun owners.
