Singapore, Vietnam promote links between International Financial Centers

(VOVWORLD) - Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh has proposed Singaporean Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong to further promote cooperation and strengthen connectivity between the international financial centers of the two countries.

At a meeting with Mr. Lee Hsien Loong in Singapore on Tuesday, as part of his working trip to the city-state, Mr. Binh said the Vietnamese delegation had held productive discussions with Singaporean government agencies, financial institutions, and investors, who expressed strong interest and positive assessments of Vietnam’s International Financial Center.

Many organizations have shown a desire to explore cooperation and investment opportunities, said Binh.

Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong praised the development of the 21 Vietnam–Singapore Industrial Parks across 14 provinces and cities, expressing hope that the number would reach 30 by 2030.
He affirmed that the Singaporean Government stands ready to share experience, provide support, and promote stronger links between Singapore’s and Vietnam’s international financial centers.
