(VOVworld) - South Korean President Park Geun Hye on Monday called on the newly formed parliament to support her efforts to increase pressure on North Korea to abandon its nuclear ambitions.

In her opening speech at the new parliament, Ms. Park Geun Hye said North Korea’s nuclear program is a major hindrance to improving Inter-Korean relations. She said that the South Korean government will take any necessary measures to deal with the threats of nuclear and conventional attacks by Pyongyang.
