Chinese Foreign Minister Yangjiezhi and Syrian Deputy Minister Faisal al-Miqdad on Wednesday discussed a way to end the crisis in Syria. Yangjiezhi once again affirmed that Beijing will support any peace measure that is accepted by all parties in Syria. He also called on all parties in Syria to conduct political a dialog and a power transition process based on agreements made in Geneva last June. Mr. Yangjiezhi urged parties to actively support the mediation role of the UN-Arab league envoy in Syria. Syria’s Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal al-Miqdad said Damascus also supported Geneva agreements and committed to cooperating with the envoy to end the civil war that has claimed thousands lives of Syrian people over the past 20 months.
