(VoVworld) - The Egyptian Foreign Ministry summoned Ahmed al-Menhali, the Charge d'Affaires of the UAE Embassy, to request that investigations be made of 11 Egyptians detained on suspicion of assisting in the training of Islamist militants to overthrow governments. Assistant Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs Ali el-Ashiry summoned al-Menhali and asked him “to convey to the UAE authorities Egypt’s concern about completing the investigation of the Egyptian detainees in the security case swiftly”.
