(VOVworld) - Thai Binh city, the capital of Thai Binh province, has been awarded the third-class Independence Order and granted second-grade city status.

After ten years of construction and development, Thai Binh has gained achievements in socio-economic development to significantly improve the lives of people.

Addressing the ceremony on Monday, Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai praised the city’s achievements and urged the locality to make use of its advantages for economic development, building new-style rural areas, and mobilising resources to develop its infrastructure and become a green, modern and dynamic urban area with sustainable development.
