During the protest, students, victims of the civil war, and representatives of social organizations showed support for a long-lasting peace for the stability and future of Colombia. This was the third march since Colombian voters in a referendum on October 2nd rejected a truce signed by President Juan Manuel Santos and FARC leaders.
- Leaders of the Colombian opposition Democratic Center party, led by ex-President Alvaro Uribe, met with lawyer Enrique Santiago from the FARC to discuss the rejected peace deal. Uribe’s representatives suggested potential changes to the rejected accord signed on September 26th.
