A US delegation met with Ukrainian officials on Sunday and with Russian officials on Monday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Both sides gave positive assessments but shared few details. Ukraine called the talks with the US positive and focused.
Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto said on Monday that his country will not support Ukraine's rapid accession to the European Union (EU) ahead of Western Balkan countries.
Szijjarto criticized what he described as enormous pressure from Brussels to fast-track Kiev's membership. He pointed to what he called a double standard in EU enlargement policy, noting that North Macedonia has remained a candidate for two decades.
