(VOVworld) - North and South Korean Red Cross officials began talks on Monday on organizing a rare reunion for families separated by the 1950-1953 Korean War.

The discussions, which took place at the border truce village of Panmunjom, focused on confirming a date, venue, and the scale for the event. Since the historic North-South summit in 2000, the two Koreas have organized 19 family reunions and seven others via television.
