UK cyclists complete around-Vietnam ride

(VOVworld) - Twenty-five cyclists from the UK have completed a 1,500 km 10-day ride from the northern province of Lao Cai to the central city of Da Nang to raise funds for neonatal training in Vietnam. During their stop at the Da Nang Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, the athletes met with nurses who will participate in an 18-month neonatal training program offered by the UK's Canterbury Christ Church University that they sponsor. In addition to donations from multi-national companies, the cyclists personally raised 135,000 USD for the program.
