(VOVworld)-The Francophone and UNESCO have sent diplomatic notes to Vietnam mission expressing deep concern over mounting tension in the East Sea.

They called for related parties to exercise restraints and resolve conflict through peaceful means in respect of international law. Vietnamese Head of Mission to the UNESCO and Francophone, Duong Van Quang, said the diplomatic note was significant: “The two United Nations specialized organizations rarely touch upon sensitive issues, especially territorial dispute. The diplomatic notes content was positive, expressing concern about mounting tension and called for peaceful dialogue in line with international law. This is what Vietnam wishes for.”
