US announces withdrawal from 66 international organizations
(VOVWORLD) -US President Donald Trump on Wednesday signed a Presidential Memorandum to withdraw the United States from 66 international organizations, that “no longer serve American interests,” according to a White House statement.

The list includes 35 organisations outside the United Nations system and 31 UN agencies like the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the United Nations Population Fund.
In a move that further scales back Washington’s engagement in multilateral cooperation, the United States will end its participation in and funding for these bodies following a broad review of its role in international institutions.
