The construction of the 700,000 USD non-refundable aid project began last July, spanning over 2 hectares in Ba Vi district, Hanoi, plus a mine clearance equipment calibration area.
This training ground is built according to the International Mine Action Standards, contributing to the implementation of the National Action Program to overcome the consequences of bombs and mines for the 2010-2025 period.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony, US Ambassador to Vietnam Marc E. Knapper said the completion of the training ground demonstrates the cooperative efforts of both sides and represents the two’s shared commitment to peace and security.
The project is also a testament to the cooperation between the two Ministries of Defense, as part of the Vietnam-US cooperation plan until 2028 on resolving the consequences of explosive remnants of war.
