Spouses of Party chief and Singaporean PM meet, watch water puppetry
(VOVWORLD) -During Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and his wife Loo Tze Lui's official visit to Vietnam, Ngo Phuong Ly, the wife of Party General Secretary To Lam met with Ms. Loo and both ladies watched Vietnamese folk performance together at the Presidential Palace, Hanoi, on Wednesday.

Recalling her official visit to Singapore from March 11 to 13, Ms. Ly thanked the prime minister, his wife, the government and the people of Singapore for the warm welcome given to General Secretary To Lam and herself, as well as the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation.
Ms. Ly said she was impressed by the orchid naming ceremony and will forever hold deep these feelings when returning to Vietnam. The new flower was named Papilionanda To Lam Linh Ly by the Singaporean hosts.
For her part, Ms. Loo shared that despite her short stay in Vietnam this time, she was able to visit the Museum of Ethnology and taste some Vietnamese dishes, saying Vietnam is a country with a long history and time-honored traditions.
After the conversation, the two ladies watched a water puppetry show, a lively form of Vietnamese folk culture originating from the northern delta.
