(VOVWORLD) - US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke by phone on Monday about disarming Hamas and demilitarizing the Gaza Strip, the two key points of the peace plan President Trump proposed in late September.
During the call, Trump invited Netanyahu to visit the US in the near future and the trip would be Netanyahu's fifth since Trump returned to the White House in January.
Regarding Gaza situation, the Egyptian Red Crescent Society sent 5,500 tons of food, clothes, medicines, fuel, and other relief items to Gaza on Monday.
This was the 84th shipment under the “Zad Al-Izza: From Egypt to Gaza” initiative launched in July.
Since the conflict broke out in October 2023, Egypt has delivered more than 665,000 tons of humanitarian relief to Gaza.
