US, North Korea leaders to meet in May
(VOVWORLD) - US President Donald Trump and North Korea leader Kim Jong-un will meet in May, a South Korean security officer said Thursday.

National security adviser Chung Eui-yong told reporters that Mr. Trump has accepted Mr. Kim’s invitation to meet as early as possible. White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders confirmed the report and said the meeting will take place "at a place and time to be determined."
The same day, South Korean Prime Minsiter Lee Nak-yon said sanctions on North Korea will only be relieved by convincing progress resulting from the North’s dialogues with other countries. Mr. Lee said reasonable measures will be adopted when acceptable results are obtained at inter-Korea and Washington-Pyeongyang talks.
