US President pledges to strengthen relations with UK, NATO
(VOVWORLD) - US President Joe Biden on Saturday conveyed his intention to strengthen the special relationship between the US, Britain and other allies in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

During his first phone call with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson after inauguration, Mr. Biden said he was ready to work with Mr. Johnson as the UK will host the G7 summit and the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 26) this year.
According to a White House statement, the two leaders also discussed their policies towards China, Iran and Russia, as well as the critical role of NATO to their collective defense and shared values.
Prime Minister Johnson said he looked forward to working with President Biden on their shared goals, including tackling climate change.
He welcomed Mr. Biden’s announcements that the United States would rejoin the 2015 Paris Agreement on climate change.
