US to hold meeting of anti-IS coalition

(VOVworld) – The U.S will hold a meeting of 30 nations belonging to the international coalition against Islamic State (IS) at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida on November 19. During 3 days of meeting, they will discuss plans to push ahead with the war against IS. Last month more than 20 military leaders from the coalition met in Washington DC.

The latest report from the US Department of Defense said that since August, the US air force has conducted 85% of the air strikes. Arabian partner countries carried out 56 of the 393 air strikes on Syria, while other partner countries were involved in 70 of the 470 air raids in Iraq.
The report said that over 800 air strikes, the US and its allies fired 2,4000 bombs and rockets. Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, and Bahrain engaged in operations in Syria while Australia, Belgium, Britain, Canada, Denmark, France, and the Netherlands conducted anti-IS air strikes in Iraq.
