Vietnam aims to achieve advanced education by 2013

(VOVworld) - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung chaired a meeting of the National Council for Education and Human Resource Development in Hanoi today/Wednesday. The delegates contributed opinions to the project on comprehensively reforming education and training to meet the demands of industrialization and modernization toward socialism and international integration. They discussed specific measures to develop Vietnam’s education to an advanced level by 2030.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said:“The project needs to clarify the importance of education in national development in the context of the development of the socialist oriented market economy. It is necessary to map out directions to facilitate the adoption of education-related policies”.

The Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Education and Training to gather opinions and work with the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communications and Education to set up the project for submission to the Government before forwarding it to the Party Central Committee.
