Vietnam and Belarus establish strategic partnership

The two leaders also witnessed the handover of cooperation documents between the two countries.

The documents include Letter of Intent on enhancing cooperation in training military personnel and experts between the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam and the Ministry of National Defense of Belarus; Memorandum of Understanding on digital transformation between the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam and the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of Belarus; Memorandum of Understanding on science, technology and innovation cooperation between the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam and the State Committee for Science and Technology of Belarus.

Vietnam and Belarus also exchanged culture cooperation program between the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam and the Ministry of Culture of Belarus for the period 2026-2028; and cooperation program between the Ministry of Justice of Vietnam and the Ministry of Justice of Belarus for the period 2025-2027.  

Others documents are Memorandum of Understanding on pharmaceutical cooperation between the Ministry of Health of Vietnam and the Ministry of Health of Belarus; Cooperation agreement between the Voice of Vietnam and the National Radio and Television of Belarus; and Memorandum of Understanding between the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Belarusian Society for Friendship and Cultural Exchange with Foreign Countries.

At the ceremony, President Aleksandr Lukashenko conferred the Order of Friendship of Peoples to Party General Secretary To Lam.
