Vietnam, Australia urged to boost legislative ties
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam wants to strengthen its ties with Australia in all fields, especially in lesgislation, said Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc during his meetings with Australia's Speaker of the House of Representatives Tony Smith and Senate President Scott Ryan on Thursday.
He called on both sides’ legislative bodies to accelerate cooperation on par with the two countries’ newly established Strategic Partnership. The Australian leaders pledged the Parliament's optimal support to boost Vietnam-Australian ties, as well as to help the Vietnamese community in Australia further integrate into local communities and gain further success, contributing to deepening bilateral ties.
