(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam is closely following the situation in the Republic of Korea and believes that the Republic of Korea will soon be stabilized and continue to develop strongly in the coming time.

At the regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hanoi on Thursday, spokesperson Pham Thu Hang responded to a reporter's question about Vietnam’s view on the RoK’s political situation and the protection of Vietnamese citizens if the situation becomes more tense.
Hang said, according to the Vietnamese Embassy in the RoK, recent developments in the RoK have not yet affected the local Vietnamese community.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has directed the Vietnamese Embassy to closely follow the situation and immediately contact local authorities and Vietnamese associations to update information for the Vietnamese citizens there.
The Vietnamese Embassy has contacted the Vietnamese community and advised them to comply with the local regulations and instructions, avoid large gatherings, and keep in touch with the Vietnamese Embassy.
