(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam Coast Guard (VCG)’s Vessel CSB 8002 departed the central province of Quang Nam on Wednesday for an exchange with the Philippine Coast Guard.

The Vietnamese delegation, led by Hoang Quoc Dat, Deputy Commander of the Coast Guard Region 2 Command, will engage in sports exchanges, cultural and historical site tours in Manila, and joint training exercises focusing on search and rescue operations and maritime safety.
This trip highlights Vietnam's dedication to a peaceful and cooperative foreign defense policy. It also confirms the Vietnamese Party and State's commitment to protecting sovereignty, ensuring security, and maintaining order in Vietnam’s sea and islands while promoting economic development.
