Vietnam confirms two more Covid-19 cases, total 87

(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of Health confirmed on Friday that two nurses of Bach Mai hospital in Hanoi have contracted the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), increasing the total number of infected cases in Vietnam to 87.

The 86th COVID-19 case is a 54-year old female nurse. Earlier, the patient and her family took aircraft on a holiday from Hanoi to Con Dao island in the south, transiting through Ho Chi Minh City.

She returned to work on March 9 and showed any typical clinical symptoms of the novel coronavirus until she met the infected colleague.

Her colleague, a 34-year-old female nurse works as a receptionist at the isolation area for the Tropical Diseases Center under Bach Mai Hospital. Signs first started to emerge on Wednesday when the patient began to display symptoms such as fatigue, a cough, and a fever.
