(VOVWORLD) - President Luong Cuong on Friday received Ambassadors from several countries who presented their credentials to begin their missions in Vietnam.

President Cuong told Egyptian Ambassador Hany Mostafa Mohamed Mostafa Hassan that the two countries should regard trade and investment as key pillars, while expanding cooperation in technology, agriculture, and people-to-people exchanges. He also emphasized strengthening defense and security ties and continuing mutual support at multilateral forums.

Congratulating Indian Ambassador Tshering W. Sherpa on his new posting, President Cuong proposed that the two countries create breakthroughs in economic, trade, and investment cooperation; fully leverage their geoeconomic advantages and market potential; and further advance collaboration in defense, security, science and technology, and people-to-people exchanges.

In his meeting with Singaporean Ambassador Rajpal Singh, the President suggested expanding cooperation in science and technology, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, green transition, defense, and security, along with other potential fields. He underscored the importance of Vietnam and Singapore continuing to contribute to building a strong, sustainable ASEAN Community.

Later the same day, President Cuong received Chilean Ambassador Nasly Isabel Bernal Prado.

Receiving the non-resident ambassadors of Latvia, Albania, Nepal, Uzbekistan, Djibouti, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Somalia, Chad, and Paraguay, the President said that Vietnam’s relations with partners across South Asia, Central Asia, Africa, Latin America, the Baltics, and the Balkans have continued to grow stronger, achieving many positive results.

He said Vietnam stands ready to serve as a bridge linking countries and regional economic blocs with ASEAN and to leverage economic partnerships that deliver practical benefits for medium-sized and smaller nations.

“I believe that during your tenure, you will serve effectively as bridges of friendship and cooperation, helping deepen relations between Vietnam and your respective countries. Vietnam is always ready to listen to your views and proposals and will create all favorable conditions for you to fulfill your missions,” said President Cuong.
