Vietnam, India celebrate people’s friendship in Vinh Phuc
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam and India have always been close friends, sharing cultural and historical values, Nguyen Ngoc Hung, Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations, said at the opening ceremony of 12th Vietnam-India People's Friendship Festival in Vinh Phuc province on Wednesday.

He noted that Vietnam always remembers and appreciates the heartfelt sentiments and support of the Indian leaders and people during Vietnam’s struggle for national liberation.
“The People's Friendship Festival is held annually in either India or Vietnam. During the past 11 editions, activities were organized to help the two peoples understand each other better and promote the already good relationship to implement high-level political agreements more effectively,” said Hung.
He added, “The festivals have helped the people of Vietnam and India remember how they stood side by side to build a strong relationship for unity, friendship, and growth."

The festival’s seminars and art exchanges will span five days, until Saturday, in Vinh Phuc, Hanoi, and HCM City.
