(VOVworld)- President Truong Tan Sang will pay a 3-day state visit to Iran on Sunday at the invitation of President Hassan Rouhani. During the visit, the two Presidents will discuss ways to boost bilateral cooperation in economics, trade, finance, banking, oil and gas. They will also discuss regional and global issues of mutual concern.

Since Vietnam and Iran established diplomatic ties on August 4, 1973, the two countries have promoted bilateral cooperation in various fields including politics, economics, trade, culture, education, and technology. Iran is a large market in the Middle East while Vietnam is a gateway to the ASEAN market.
