Vietnam, Kazakhstan increase delegation exchanges

The two sides discussed ways to expand bilateral cooperation and issues of mutual concern. They agreed to better take advantage of the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and Eurasian Economic Union, soon organize a meeting of the Vietnam-Kazakhstan Inter-governmental Committee for cooperation in economic, trade, science and technology, consider the establishment of joint ventures in garment, textile and food processing, and facilitate bilateral trade.

They reached consensus on the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the East Sea and agreed to strengthen bilateral coordination at international forums including the UN and the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia(CICA) of which Kazakhstan is holding the Presidency for the 2020-2022 tenure.
