Vietnam Museum of Ethnology showcases traditional Tet in Hanoi
(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam Museum of Ethnology in Hanoi on Friday hosted “Exploring Traditional Tet,” a cultural program highlighting folk performances, rituals and games associated with Vietnam’s Lunar New Year.

Part of the broader program “Welcoming Spring 2026: Cultural Colors of Hung Yen,” held on the fifth and sixth days of the Lunar New Year, the event introduced visitors to traditional practices such as erecting the Tet bamboo pole, Bong dance performances, and Dạ Trạch drum singing — distinctive folk art forms of the Red River Delta.

The program also featured calligraphy writing, folk toy making, Dong Ho folk paintings, traditional banh chung wrapping and a variety of folk games, drawing strong participation from the public.
