At the Ministry' regular press conference in Hanoi, Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang replied to a reporter' question regarding Vietnam's coordination with the international community to guard against the possible Nipah virus outbreak.
“To respond to the epidemic, Vietnamese authorities are closely coordinating with localities to strengthen disease surveillance and control at border crossings, healthcare facilities, and in the community. Disease prevention and control measures are in place," Hang said.
"Vietnamese authorities will continue to closely monitor the developments of the epidemic, work with the World Health Organization and countries around the world to promptly take appropriate and effective disease prevention and control measures.”
