Vietnam Poetry Day 2026 to be held in Quang Ninh
(VOVWORLD) -The 24th Vietnam Poetry Day 2026, themed “Before the Vast Ocean,” will be held in Bai Chay Ward and Ha Long Ward, Quang Ninh province, on March 3, the 15th day of the first lunar month.

President of the Vietnam Writers’ Association Nguyen Quang Thieu told a press conference on Wednesday in Hanoi that this year’s theme presents a wonderful fusion of poetry and the sea. At the Poetry Night, audiences will contemplate sea-themed poems by poets of different generations.
This year’s Poetry Day will continue to feature poet Bruce Weigl, one of two US veterans who were personally awarded the Friendship Order by Party General Secretary To Lam in 2024 for their active contributions to promoting Vietnamese literature worldwide and friendship between Vietnam and the United States.
