(VOVworld)- Vietnam needs to use its water resources responsibly. Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Nguyen Thai Lai was speaking at a meeting Thursday in Vi Thanh City. The meeting in the Mekong Delta's Hau Giang Province marks World Water Day on March 22^nd. Mr. Lai said that Viet Nam is average in its water usage but shows hints of unsustainability. Water shortages and conflicts and disputes related to water resources have occurred in a number of places at certain times, especially in the dry season. A photo exhibition entitled “Water and Food Security” was also organized to mark the occasion.
