Vietnam resumes commercial flights

(VOVWORLD) - Answering reporters’ questions on Vietnam’s plan to resume commercial flights and regular international flights in the near future, Vietnam’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang said the Ministry of Transport has submitted the government a plan to resume regular international flights on a phased roadmap until March next year.

The plan is expected to help aviation businesses overcome difficulties, promote economic and tourism recovery, and gradually meet the public travel demand in the new normal. Hang said the government has approved the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ proposal on vaccine passports and expanded entries to Vietnam for vaccine passport holders including overseas Vietnamese.

The Foreign Ministry is working with relevant agencies to work out guidance for the application of vaccine passports.
