Vietnam, South Africa strengthen economic, trade, and investment cooperation

(VOVWORLD) - The top leaders of Vietnam and South Africa have agreed to reinforce political trust and effectively implement the “Partnership for Cooperation and Development” framework between the two countries.

During phone talks on Tuesday, Party General Secretary To Lam and South African President and President of the African National Congress (ANC) Cyril Ramaphosa stressed the early signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the two Parties to provide a legal basis for future cooperation.

They agreed to enhance collaboration in trade, investment, education, defense, and security, while exploring potential areas such as energy, mining, sustainable resource use, infrastructure, and climate change.

Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to multilateralism, South-South cooperation, and a world order based on respect for international law.
