Vietnam, Spain enhance friendship and cooperation

(VOVworld)- National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan has stressed that Vietnam attaches great importance to the strategic partnership with Spain proposing that the two countries continue the exchange of delegations and maintain political contacts.

During a meeting in Madrid on Monday with Spain’s First Vice President of the Congress of Deputies, Celia Villalobos and Vice President of the Senate Juan Jose Lucas, Ms Ngan expressed her hope that Spain will help accelerate the FTA negotiations between Vietnam and the European Union. She urged Spanish enterprises to explore chances of long-term cooperation and investment in Vietnam, especially in culture and tourism. The Spanish officials pledged to do their best to unceasingly push up the cooperation and friendship between the two countries, and to intensify the exchange of experience in legislation and supervision activities. They agreed that the two sides will continue the mechanisms of consultation and coordination at multilateral forums like the Inter-Parliamentary Union and the Asia-Europe Parliamentary Partnership Meeting for peace, national independence and social progress.
