At a reception for visiting Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev in Hanoi, the Party leader praised the close cooperation between the Vietnamese and Russian governments. He expressed his hope that the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the Eurasia Economic Union would soon be signed to boost economic, trade and investment cooperation between member countries. Trong praised the strong relationship between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the United Russia Party saying that on the basis of the two Parties’ cooperative agreement signed in 2009, the signing of Minutes on expanding and deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership for the 2015-2017 period during Prime Minister Medvedev’s visit would serve as a firm basis for the two Parties to further bilateral ties. At the end of the reception, Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong and the Russian Prime Minister and President of the United Russia Party Medvedev witnessed the signing of the Minutes on expanding and deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership for the 2015-2017 period.
