Vietnamese athletes shine at SEA Games 32

(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam cemented its top spot on the SEA Games medal table with 100 golds as of 5.15 PM on Sunday.

3 more golds were won in aerobics and fencing on Sunday morning. Winning 2 more golds, Vietnam finished the aerobics competition with a total of 5 gold medals in all 5 events of the Games.

Vietnamese athletes continued to compete in the finals of swimming, weightlifting, and tennis later on Sunday.

Saturday was a successful competition day for Vietnamese athletes when they won 16 golds in sports of their strength: swimming, aerobics, boxing, judo, billiards, chess, sailing, weightlifting, and bicycle.

Finswimmer Kim Anh Kiet broke the SEA Games record in the 400m men's surface event.

U22 Vietnam men's football team lost to Indonesia 2-3 in the semi-finals. U22 Thailand had a stunning 3-0 win over Myanmar. U22 Thailand will compete for the gold medal with the Indonesians at 8pm on Monday. On the same day, at 4 pm, U22 Vietnam will play Myanmar for the bronze medal.
