(VOVworld)- The Vietnamese Embassy in China has held a workshop in Beijing to promote bilateral cooperation in trade, investment and tourism. Delegated discussed measures to boost two way trade turnover to 100 billion dollars. Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Van Tho praised positive development in Vietnamese Chinese comprehensive strategic partnership. He expected participants to look for solutions to promote bilateral potential and implement targets set by leaders of both countries. A professor from the Chinese Academy of Social Science, Bo Zhengshui, said China’s recent devaluation of the Yuan does not impact bilateral trade balance as Vietnam has also adjusted its exchange:“Vietnam was the most rapid in exchange rate adjustment and there will be no major impact on bilateral imports and exports. We should look for other measures to ensure a balanced trade rather than depending on foreign exchange rates.”
