(VOVworld)- The Vietnamese Seed Fund, an academic sponsorship fund aims to seek, support, and nurture young talents in various fields nationwide officially made its debut on Saturday. The non-profit charitable fund, co-founded by Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper and the Vietnam Technological and Commercial Bank (Techcombank), is expected to promote movements for improving the quality of human resources, building a learning society, and enhancing the quality of junior secondary school education universalization. It aims to support students and children living in difficult circumstances, as well as young talent in various fields by providing them scholarships, financial support, and an equal opportunity to access education and training. Thuan Huu, Editor in Chief of Nhan Dan newspaper says: "The fund will further strengthen the Party and State policies and guidelines on education and training. The funds aims to stay shoulder by shoulder with the students to overcome challenges in the daily life to realize their dreams, helping them to bring into play their talents to contribute to the nation. The fund will provide scholarships for talented and disadvantaged students".

At the launch, 15 scholarships worth US$960 were presented to talented and disadvantaged students.
