(VOVworld)-Sweden and Denmark have recognised Vietnamese tra fish (also known as catfish) as being raised in a sustainable development environment in accordance with international standards.

Vietnamese tra fish enlists Denmark and Sweden’s green books.

The Ministry of Trade and Industry cited information posted on Sweden's and Denmark's websites that have revised their Fish Guides, to include Vietnamese tra fish on the "green list" of healthy seafood. Chairman of Vietnamese Fisheries Association, Nguyen Viet Thang said that the recognition followed many constructive dialogues and it would stimulate the fish production, exports and consumption: “”Consumers in these countries will make buying decision based on the guidance. This is a positive signal for the Vietnamese industry following our ongoing compliance to food safety and production regulations, which are recognized by the world community.”
