“Vietnam is committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. As economic transformation and development prompt enormous energy demand, Vietnam faces two major challenges: meeting the energy needs of economic growth while ensuring zero emissions. As a result, I believe Vietnam must move aggressively toward renewable and clean energy development,” Nguyen Khac Quyen, Deputy Director of the Institute of Strategy and Policy for Industry and Trade, said.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hoang Long said Vietnam’s energy sector is entering a critical period, with opportunities to transform in a modern, green, sustainable direction.

He said Vietnam views international cooperation as a way to attract investment capital, facilitate core technology transfer, and train high-quality human resources for the sector.
