Vietnam-UK Strategic Dialogue promotes bilateral cooperation

Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang and Catherine West, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Indo-Pacific at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, co-chaired the dialogue.

The two sides agreed to use the Vietnam-UK Free Trade Agreement and the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership and encourage British businesses to invest in Vietnam in renewable energy, finance, banking, infrastructure, and digital transformation.

The two countries agreed to continue cooperation in health, agriculture, environment, technology, and human resource training, among others.

A Vietnam-UK Action Plan for the 2024-2026 period was approved at the dialogue to set future cooperation priorities.
