VUFO to continue strengthening and expanding friendship relations
(VOVworld) - The 6th congress of Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations’ Presidium opened in Hanoi on Friday to map out orientations for future activities. VUFO President Vu Xuan Hong told the congress that the Union will continue strengthening and expanding friendship relations with countries in the world for peace, stability and mutual development. Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan was addressing the event: “People’s external relations have been an important part of the country’s diplomacy. This will contribute to fostering peace and widening cooperation and friendship relations and raising Vietnam’s international position for independence, democracy social advancement and sustainable development.”
Delegates discussed how to improve the efficiency of people’s diplomacy and fulfill targets set out by Party resolutions.
