(VOVworld) – A workshop to review Hanoi’s achievements, opportunities, and development was held on Friday to mark the 60^th anniversary of Hanoi’s Liberation Day on October 10.

Secretary of the Hanoi Municipal Party Committee Pham Quang Nghi, said following the revolutionary tradition and experience of 60 years of city’s construction and development, Hanoi has increasingly developed but still faced challenges. Nghi said: "Besides opportunities, Hanoi sill faces a number of challenges including urbanization, and economic development not in line with its potential. Hanoi’s resources and advantages have not been fully tapped, competitiveness and global economic integration are limited. The cultural development has not matched the potential economic growth and position of this thousand-year old city".
