10 billion VND supports for children on the Month of Action for Children
(VOVworld)-The Month of Action for Children in 2013 with the theme “Creating equal development opportunities for all poor, disadvantaged children” was launched this morning on Saturday in Hanoi.

The event was jointly organized by the Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the Hanoi People’s Committee with the participation of Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan and 600 children representing 25 million children nation wide and thousands of local people. Addressing the event, Doan said that over the past years, the Party, State have always paid special attention for the children, especially poor, disadvantaged children to help them live, integrate an develop. Doan said: “The Month of Action for Children in 2013 was launched at the same time with the launching of the summer youth volunteer campaign. So that, I encourage each youth member with enthusiasm and responsibility to go to the remote area to help all poor, disadvantaged children, contributing in nurture their dream and helping them overcome all the hardships in life. I hope parents will continue to uphold the traditional values of family to care for and educate their children becoming good citizens and the future leaders of the nation. That is a happy and joy of all of us.”
At the launching ceremony, Vietnam Fund for Child Protection has received near 10 billion VND from donors to support for poor, disadvantaged children who have strived to achieve high academic results.
