(VOVworld) - An Giang province has hosted the opening ceremony of a festival honoring Cham culture and promoting tourism.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Huynh Vinh Ai was addressing the event on Friday: "The festival aims to promote Cham ethnic cultural identities and values to create a driving force economic development and living standards. The Ministry expects to receive more local cooperation and Cham people in the preservation and development of their finest cultural values.”
